Michael Sean Butler shows off his talent with this painting of Maynard James Keenan.
When the artist created this painting he wanted it symbolize the duality of man in Tool’s music. Why Tool? Their music is hard and aggressive, yet thought provoking and peaceful.
Butler believes that there is a lot of heaven and hell and everything in between in their sound which is portrayed with the blues and reds.
The grenades MJK holds show how the music hits you like a bomb, the eyes show another presence always watching you.
